Two Pedestrians and Anaheim Lodge Motel in Anaheim Struck by Hit-and-run Driver
ANAHEIM, CA (November 20, 2020) – Late in the afternoon on Thursday, two people were injured when a hit-and-run driver struck them, and the motel they were standing near. The November 19 incident occurred at 837 S. Beach Boulevard, the location of the Anaheim Lodge.
The time was roughly 4:30 p.m., Erin Moore said. Moore is a sergeant with Anaheim Police.
A vehicle–described as a Lexus SUV, white in color–is reported to have backed into the two victims and the motel. The driver fled the crash site.
Responders arrived and transported the victims to a hospital. The types of injuries they suffered, and their current condition has not been reported. The identities of the two people have also not been reported.
Reports say the motel had structural damage from the crash. The owner of the business and of the property has not been identified.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved, and the suspect driver. According to Moore, investigators do not yet know if the crash happened accidentally or intentionally.
