Man Killed in Anaheim Six-vehicle Crash on Euclid Street
ANAHEIM, CA (October 19, 2020) – Late in the morning on Saturday in Anaheim, Brandon Kimura was killed in a crash involving six vehicles. The October 17 incident occurred on Euclid Street in the northbound lanes, close to I-5.
The time was roughly 11:19 a.m., according to Shane Carringer. Carringer is a sergeant with Anaheim Police.
Vehicles involved in the crash had been at the intersection, and waiting for traffic. An SUV–described as a Mercedes-Benz–smashed into the stopped vehicles, none of which have been described.
Kimura was in the first vehicle in the chain-reaction collision, which was hit in the back end by the Mercedes. He died at the crash site. The Orange County coroner identified him as 34 years old.
The other people involved in the crash have not been identified. According to reports, eight others had been hurt in the collision, with the injuries described as minor.
Responders transported the person who had been driving the Mercedes to a hospital. She suffered injuries that were also described as minor.
According to Carringer, a medical issue may have been a circumstance related to the Mercedes driver’s crash. Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work in examining the details of the incident.
