YouTube Star Killed in Crash on Huston Street in Valley Village
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 12, 2020) – Corey La Barrie, a YouTube star, was killed in a crash on Sunday night while traveling as a passenger in a vehicle in Valley Village. The May 10 incident occurred on Huston Street.
The time was roughly 9:40 p.m., according to Los Angeles Police.
Reports say the driver of the vehicle–identified as celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Silva–had been going at a fast speed while heading east on Huston Street. Silva lost control of the McLaren sports car, reports say, went off the roadway, and struck a stop sign and tree close to Carpenter Avenue.
According to authorities, Silva got out of the crashed car and tried to leave the incident site. People who arrived to help the victims stopped him from leaving.
Responders arrived and transported the two injured people to the hospital. La Barrie, who had been traveling as a passenger, died in the hospital. The day was his 25th birthday.
Authorities arrested Silva on suspicion of murder. He is suspected of driving under the influence (DUI).
