Collision on Highway 46 Near Paso Robles Involving Car and Semi-truck Causes Injuries

PASO ROBLES, CA (March 4, 2020) –  On Tuesday morning, a collision involving a car and a semi-truck near Paso Robles caused injuries. The March 3 incident occurred on the eastbound side of Highway 46, close to where Rancho Shield Way and Gruenhagen Flat Road are located.

The time was roughly 8:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Reports say a vehicle—described only as a sedan—struck the back end of a semi-truck. The circumstances that led to the collision have not been reported.

Responders from Cal Fire SLO and the California Highway Patrol arrived on scene to help. According to reports, an ambulance was requested.

It is not known how many people had been traveling in the car, nor how many had been traveling in the semi-truck. Reports do not say how many people were hurt in the incident, and what the current condition of the injured people might be.

None of the identities of the people involved in the incident have been reported, including name, age, gender, and city of residence. It is not known who had been driving each vehicle involved in the collision.

Investigators are working to understand what factors contributed to the crash.
