Fire Destroys Garages and Vehicles at Residential Complex on North Gilbert Street in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, CA (February 21, 2020) – A fire destroyed garages and vehicles at a residential complex in Anaheim on Thursday night. The February 20 incident occurred at 702 North Gilbert Street, at the Summer Wind residences.
The time was roughly 6:40 p.m., according to Anaheim Police.
Reports say responders from Anaheim Fire and Rescue arrived, and found that a carport on the east side of the property was burning. According to Shane Carringer, who is a sergeant, the structure was completely engulfed. The flames spread and burned roughly six garages.
Roughly 12 vehicles were damaged or destroyed by fire, smoke, and water. None of the vehicles have been described. None of the owners of the vehicles have been identified in reports.
No one was reported injured in the incident.
Investigators are working to collect details, information, and evidence at the scene to determine what caused the fire.
