Vehicle and North County Transit Bus Collide Near Bonsall, Causing Injuries

BONSALL, CA (December 17, 2019) – On Monday night near Bonsall, a vehicle and a North County Transit District bus collided, causing injuries. The December 16 incident occurred on South Mission Road near State Route 76, and to the north of it.

The time was a little before 9:10 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports say a vehicle—which has not been described—and the bus collided, but the manner in which it happened has not been reported. The person who had been driving the car suffered injuries that were described as life threatening.

Responders transported the car’s driver to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. The victim’s current condition is not known. The identity of the driver, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.

Of the nine people who had been traveling on the bus, three were reported to have suffered injuries. The injuries were described as minor.
