Suspect Driving Stolen Truck Collides with Multiple Vehicles in Perris; One Vehicle Smashes into Restaurant
PERRIS, CA (October 2, 2019) – Late Monday night, a suspect who was driving a stolen truck collided with multiple vehicles in Perris, launching one of them into a restaurant. The October 1 incident occurred on West Fourth Street in the 200 block.
The time was roughly 5:30 p.m., Cal Fire Riverside said.
Reports say a truck, which had not yet been reported stolen at the time of the incident, crashed into other vehicles for reasons that are not known. One of the vehicles was launched into a building where a restaurant is located.
Two other vehicles were also struck, but the total number of vehicles involved in the collision has not been reported.
According to reports, eight people suffered injuries that were described as moderate. Responders transported them to hospitals in the area.
None of the people involved in the incident have been identified, including their names and cities of residence. According to Sheriff’s deputies, two of the victims were identified as a girl and a woman.
The identity of the suspect driver has not been reported, including the person’s name, age, and city of residence. Reports indicate he was arrested by authorities.
