Collision Kills Two People, Injures Three Others on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 23, 2019) – Two vehicles collided with much force Monday night in Huntington Beach, killing two people and injuring three others. The July 22 incident occurred on Beach Boulevard in the 18000 block.
The time was roughly a little before 9:30 p.m., according to Marty Ortiz. Ortiz is a battalion chief with the Huntington Beach Fire Department.
Reports say two vehicles collided, but it is not clear how the crash happened, and whether it involved a head-on, side-swipe, or rear-end strike. The vehicles involved have only been described as compacts. The line of travel of each vehicle prior to the collision has not been reported.
Responders arrived and pronounced two people deceased at the accident site. The identities of the two people, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence, have not been reported. It is not known if the two people who died had been traveling in the same vehicle, and if the victims had been a driver and a passenger, or each had been a driver of one of the vehicles involved.
Responders transported three injured people to hospitals in the area. The types of injuries the victims suffered, and their current condition has not been reported. The identities of the injured people have not been reported also.
