Bicyclist and LAPD Motorcycle Officer Collide in Encino; Suffer Injuries
ENCINO, CA (July 23, 2019) – On Monday afternoon, a bicyclist and a motorcycle officer from the Los Angeles Police Department collided in Encino. The July 22 incident occurred on West Burbank Boulevard in the 16400 block.
The time was a little after midday, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Reports say the two people collided, but it is not clear where each had been traveling prior to the crash, and whether it was a sideswipe, head-on, or rear-end strike.
Responders arrived and took both of the victims to a trauma center in the area. The identities of the two victims, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence, have not been reported.
It is not known what types of injuries each person suffered, and what the current condition is of each victim.
Investigators are continuing their efforts to gather facts and information to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident, and what led to it. At this time, no other details have been reported.
