Hit-and-run Driver Kills Bicyclist on Jefferson Boulevard in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (July22, 2019) – A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a bicyclist at night on Saturday in the Exposition Park area of Los Angeles. The July 20 incident occurred on Jefferson Boulevard where it intersects with Denker Avenue.
The time was roughly 10:30 p.m.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man and a woman were riding bicycles on Jefferson Boulevard, and a vehicle—described as a sedan, dark in color—going at a fast speed hit the man.
The impact of the collision threw the man from the bicycle he was riding, and he fell to the ground. Responders arrived and transported the man to a hospital, where he died. The man’s identity, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The woman who was riding with the victim was not hurt in the collision. Her identity, including her name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
No description of the suspect hit-and-run driver has been reported. Investigators are looking for the driver, and the vehicle.
