Woman Running Across I-5 After Crash Struck and Killed in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, CA (June 18, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed on Monday night in Anaheim when she tried to run across I-5 after a crash. The June 17 initial incident occurred in the lanes of the freeway that head south, close to Euclid Street.
The time was roughly a little before 9:00 p.m.
According to David Davis, who is a sergeant with the California Highway Patrol, the woman had been involved in a crash on the southboud side of the freeway. She exited the vehicle she had been traveling in, climbed over the divider in the center of the freeway, and attempted to run across the freeway’s northbound lanes.
A vehicle hit the woman, and she was killed. The identity of the woman has not been reported, including her name, age, and city of residence. No details have been reported regarding the initial crash, and it is not known if another vehicle was involved in the first incident. The type of vehicle the woman exited has not been reported, and it is not known if she was the driver.
Reports do not say what type of vehicle hit the woman as she was running across the freeway.
