Daniel R. Estrada Killed in Crash in City of Industry

CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (February 4, 2019) – Daniel R. Estrada was killed in an accident in the evening on Saturday in the City of Industry. The February 3 accident occurred on Echelon Avenue, a bit to the south of Pocono Street, according to F. Larez. Larez is an officer with the California Highway Patrol, in the Baldwin Park office.

The time was roughly 9:25 p.m.

Reports say that Estrada had been on foot and crossing Echelon Avenue when a vehicle—described as a Subaru Impreza—that was traveling south hit him. Respondents transported Estrada to Pomona Valley Medical Center. He was pronounced deceased. Estrada was 39 years old and a resident of Valinda.

The driver—who was identified as a man 23 years old and a resident of La Puente—stayed at the accident scene. He cooperated with the investigation, according to Larez. The driver was not able to avoid Estrada, and struck him.

Investigators are examining the information and details regarding the accident. Larez said that the California Highway Patrol is seeking people who witnessed the accident, or who have information about it.
