Collision Involving Motorcyle Kills Rider on 10 Freeway in San Dimas
SAN DIMAS, CA (December 20, 2018) – A collision involving a motorcycle on the 10 Freeway in San Dimas killed the rider Wednesday night. The December 19 accident occurred to the west of Kellogg Drive, M. Villasenor said. Villasenor is an officer with the California Highway Patrol.
The time was roughly 9:15 p.m.
According to reports, the rider—identified as a man 29 years old—had been riding a Yamaha motorcycle, year 2016, and traveling on the freeway’s westbound side. His motorcycle crashed into the freeway’s center divider, which threw him off the bike. A vehicle then struck the rider, officials said.
Responders arrived on scene and took the injured rider to the hospital. The man had injuries that included blunt force trauma. Reports say the man died later in the hospital. His name and city of residence have not yet been reported.
According to reports, the person who had been driving the vehicle was not injured. The name, age, gender, and city of residence of the driver have not yet been reported, nor the type of vehicle that hit the motorcyclist.
