Man Walking in Paso Robles Struck and Seriously Injured by Car
PASO ROBLES, CA (December 7, 2018) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when a car hit him Wednesday night in Paso Robles. The December 5 accident occurred on North River Road, and to the north of Union Road, Caleb Davis said. Davis is a Commander with the Paso Robles Police.
The time was roughly 7:00 p.m.
Police received a report that a person was in the street. As police were traveling to the site, they received a report that the person—identified as a man—had been hit by a vehicle.
The victim suffered injuries that were described as serious. Respondents took him to Twin Cities Community Hospital, located in Templeton, for medical attention.
The person who had been driving the vehicle that hit the victim stopped and remained at the accident scene. The driver cooperated with the investigation.
According to Davis, alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the accident. The speed the vehicle was traveling prior to the accident was not likely a factor, he said.
The identity of the victim, his name, age, and city of residence have not yet been reported. The types of injuries he suffered have not yet been reported.
The identity of the driver has not yet been reported.
Investigators are examining the details to determine what caused the accident.
