Hesperia, CA – Motorcycle and SUV Collide, Killing Marty Carroll Jr.

HESPERIA, CA (August 3, 2018) – Marty Carroll, Jr. was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Hesperia Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred at roughly 11:35 a.m. at Donert Street and Peach Avenue.

According to a news report, personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department and the Hesperia Police Department arrived at the scene of the accident after a report of a collision involving a motorcycle.

Authorities found one man, who had been riding the motorcycle, had suffered serious injuries. Authorties later identified the victim as Carroll. Responders took Carroll to Desert Valley Hospital. He died from his injuries.

The news story reports that Carroll’s employer said Carroll was going home to have lunch. For reasons that are not known, Carroll was traveling north on Peach Avenue, riding his 2012 Harley Davidson, when he traveled over the double yellow lines. He crashed head on with a vehicle that was traveling south. The other vehicle was described as a 2011 Kia SUV.

The driver of the Kia suffered injuries that were characterized as minor. Responders treated the injured driver at the scene of the accident, and released the person.
